CAB ASSEMBLY

With the air-conditioned crew cab at one end of the unit and the flail at the other, the maximum safety distance between mine and man is achieved. The cab is a STANAG-compliant, fully armoured structure equipped with multi-layer armoured glass , which are additionally protected by an internal polycarbonate liner and steel grill on the outside. There are facilities for two operator positions with only one operator required during use.

The inner walls of the crew-compartment are lined with a sound-proof material, and the cab temperatures are controlled with a digital climate control system with forced air intake.

The blast mitigating seating allows the operator to rotate their seat through 180°, allowing them to face comfortably in the direction of either operation or transit whilst restrained by their 4 point harness.

The simple ergonomic design of the AMCS controls and intuitive menu driven display, give the operator full control of the vehicle and flail, without the need to move from the seat.

Headphones with voice activated microphones allow hands-free communication between the crew and external operations.

POWER TRAIN

The power train consists of a CAT C9 350hp 6 cylinder, in-line, turbo charged diesel engine driving the vehicle through a hydrostatic drive arrangement to a pair of heavy duty tracks or optional wheels.

The integral mounted gearbox, final drives and all hydraulics are housed in a fully protected compartment, incorporating an armoured belly plate with strengthened chassis assembly.

The Aardvark AMCS is designed to be serviced and maintained in field, daily and weekly checks can be performed simply through the large armoured access panels found on both sides of the machine.
